Els Quatre Gats is Art nouveau-style cafe opened in 1896 in a Casa Martí, a modernist building designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch. Els Quatre Gats (4 cats in English) famously became a popular meeting place for Barcelona’s most prominent modernist figures, such as Pablo Picasso and Ramon Casas i Carbó. Now is serving Catalan food.
